Dear Folks, Im getting seriously concerned about the amount of junk that comes through on my TIPS digest. (No, Im not talking about messages.) The latest one (Saturdays) comprised several hundred pages, of which most was junk between messages, making it difficult to find the actual TIPS content. Do other people have this problem, or is it something to do with my software (Compuserve)? To partially alleviate the problem, may I suggest that TIPSters do not automatically check the box for repeating the whole of the previous message (which often includes the previous message to that one, and that one has the previous... you get the point!). Sometimes there is a good reason for doing so, but often all thats necessary is to retain in your message only the relevant parts of the one you are responding to, and delete the rest.
Apart from multiple repetitions of previous messages, much of the junk seems to be technical stuff to do with formatting, sometimes page after page of it. Is this a problem that only affects Compuserve software, or is it general?
