Tipsters,
I'm on the hunt for a text, and would welcome recommendations. The course is a mid-level undergraduate course called "Knowledge and Thought", and it covers what's left of cognition after Language and Memory have been hived off into separate topics. So it's a bit of sensory processing, attention, imagery, concept organization, priming, problem-solving, decision-making and a few other things. It's a half-year (13 weeks @ 3 hrs/wk) course.
The last time I taught it (2002) I used Reed (5th ed), and the time before Sternberg (2d ed). Both were... o.k.
Any gems out there I should know about?
Tom - My favorite is Kathleen Galotti's "Cognitive psychology in and out of the laboratory" from ITP/Brooks-Cole. I have the 2nd edition but it might be in the 3rd edition by now.

PS - My students loved this book. Very readable and understandable.
