    I don't think it's a domestic/international thing. I don't fly
domestically very often, and my experiences (no shoe checks) were on recent
international flights (Chicago/Dallas/San Jose Costa Rica on American and
Chicago/Madrid/Marseille on Iberia). Maybe it's which airport you go
through?
