Yes, it's entirely possible that Jewish residents of Florida would miss announcements 
due to the holidays. Many observant Jews refrain entirely from using electricity on 
holidays, especially Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Others (such as myself) will use, 
say, light switches, but still won't use TVs/radios/phones/computers, in keeping with 
the spirit of these holidays as a time for personal reflection.

While watching the Hurricane coverage on TV,one official remarked
that there was some concern that Jewish residents may not be aware
of advisories issued because this period ran concomitantly
with Jewish holy days and hence some may not be listening to radios
or watching TV.
 Any feedback? is this possible?
