Actually, the rumour (helpfully provided to us by Jim) was that Flew 
had "miraculously" converted to belief in God. My comment wasn't a 
rumour but a syllogism:

Given that Antony Flew is 81 years old, if he has suddenly converted 
from atheism, a philosophical position with which he has been 
associated throughout his celebrated career, to belief in God, then 
one possible explanation is that this is an early sign of his 
development of Alzheimer's disease.

As with all syllogisms, if the "if" premise is wrong, as now seems to 
be the case,  then the conclusion no longer follows.
