I'd agree with Paul that Levey and Valente is good; however, they are currently preparing a new edition which will probably be out within a year. If you are concerned about student costs and whether or not they can sell books back, this, for that reason only, may not be the best choice. I like Algeier & Algeier, but I also like Westheimer and Lopater for a Human Sexuality text that is more research based than some. Everyone knows Dr. Ruth, and I've known Sandy Lopater for about 30 years and know that he has nearly that much experience in teaching and researching in the area of human sexuality. That's my #1 choice.
