For those of us living in california, there has been a HUGE commercial push
touting the benefits of preschool in long-term success of individuals--early
'intervention' as the commercials put it. This is interesting to me given all
the controversy about preschool versus keeping children home until
kindergarten--i.e., the discussion about differences between stay-at-home moms
and working moms. The message I get is that in not sending your children to
preschool you are doing your children a disservice, and hence being a bad
parent.

This is a program that the governator has promoted for many years. I wonder if
being governator has allowed him to take his crusade to a new level.
