For those of us living in california, there has been a HUGE commercial push touting the benefits of preschool in long-term success of individuals--early 'intervention' as the commercials put it. This is interesting to me given all the controversy about preschool versus keeping children home until kindergarten--i.e., the discussion about differences between stay-at-home moms and working moms. The message I get is that in not sending your children to preschool you are doing your children a disservice, and hence being a bad parent.
