Annette--

Object away! But the differential reflects a
self-selection bias, not any discriminatory criteria
on our part. I expect men feel that their hair is
luxuriantly flowing when it is only shoulder length
(look at Pinker, after all), whereas women aren't
sufficiently satisfied until it is much longer.
