We have, of course, had this discussion before so I'll repeat what I said 
before: An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I have my students 
read the Ten Commandment of Paper Writing on my web site at

It needs to be updated a bit to deal more specifically with the internet but 
other than that, it's useful for warning students that plagiarism is something 
I will look for and for making sure everyone knows exactly what constitutes 
plagiarism.
