Blaine- So long as you aren't laboring under the misconception that they do! :) I ask mine on self-evals what percent of the classes they were prepared for (did the reading in advance)- one of the students who claimed to have worked the hardest (and that this was the hardest class EVER!) stated that they read in advance for (gulp!) 10% of the classes. Hmmmm. Well, let's give them the benefit of the doubt when possible that they are pulling our legs just a bit! Have a great holidays. As part of a student self-assessment regarding how students achieved the course goals, I included an open ended question: Indicate what I should have asked you to do with respect to your self-evaluation and also answer the question. You should have asked us how many hours of unpaid work we have done on all of these assignments? 36 assignments at about 1.5 hours a piece equal 54 hours of work, not including the final or this assignment. That is a lot of hours for a 3 credit class! So I figure we did a lot of work in this class! I think 54+ hours deserves an A especially at 3:34am in the morning! thanks, and i hope you all enjoy the holidays, blaine --- You are currently subscribed to tips as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
