I didn't intend to imply that I was referring to *recent* cases in the
States. (Nor in the UK: the Rochdale case goes back to 1990, and is only
coming to prominence again because the children involved are now old
enough to take legal action against Rochdale Council.) But from books I've
read I believe that some evangelical Christians did have some involvement
with claims of satanic ritual abuse in the States. I recall *Satanic
Panic" (1993) by Jeffrey Victor and *Satan's Silence* (1995) by Debbie
Nathan, also items in Mark Prendergrast's *Victims of Memory* (1995).
