Hi Doug:
I would have gone with your split but I got the idea that the person was
to have closer ties to the biology department, so here is the suggestion
that I sent:
Life-Span Developmental: Offering the following courses
Intro/General
Human Development
Methods
Aging (biological/work force issues)

I’m curious what other think of this – but if I were adding a single
psychology position at a college (that is primarily business), I’d look
for an I/O social type and offer the following:
Introductory/General
Social Psychology
Research Methods
And I/O or even split into two courses

Hello, TIPsters.
Excuse the cross-posting...
A colleague of mine (Fred Ledley) at Bently College in Boston asked me
if I would forward a question to you all.
At their institution, administrators are interested in revamping their
psychology curriculum; however, they do not have a Psychology major, per
se (they are primarily a business school). They are hoping to hire an
instructor who would be housed in the Natural Sciences department as
part of their Health and Human Biology concentration (I'm actually not
sure how that is classified).
First, does anyone have any suggestions regarding how to word the job
ad, perhaps a template or an example? And second, does anyone have any
suggestions for what to include in a psychology curriculum that is for
non-majors?
I've included Fred's contact information below, or you could respond
directly to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and I will
forward your messages.
Thanks much,
Tracy Zinn
