Robert Provine is, I believe, a big name in this. You might also do a search on laughter among animals, for a comparative perspective.

And I must say I laughted when I read the name of your university. Are the Jesuits on rollerblades, skates, or are they wheeled around on dollies by graduate students?

Hello fellow TIPS-ters,

I have been volunteered to give a talk on the psychology of humor (about
which I know next to nothing) and also the physiology of laughter (about
which I know nothing) in 2 weeks time, and I need help.

Can any of you direct me toward helpful resources on this subject or share
any material you have used? I am out of my depth here.

Thank you!
