But keep in mind that this ability to easily read and comprehend such a
sentence is a result of much experience and practice so that the reading
process has become automated as well as requiring minimal cues for correct
discrimination.  For any activity, the more experience we have, the less
information we need to make the correct response.  I'm posting this as I
hope folks don't interpret that this implies that children who are
learning to read could successfully interpret this sentence as they are
not reading at the 'whole word' level yet.  That comes with time,
experience and aptitude.
