DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY

POSITIONS:                          

Two positions for Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology in Experimental Psychology (Generalist) - Tenure track.

 

EFFECTIVE DATE:               

Fall 2006

 

QUALIFICATIONS:              

Earned doctoral degree in Experimental Psychology is required. Specialty area is open. Candidates with ABD will be considered if close to completion of doctorate. Teaching experience and evidence of research productivity are required. Candidates with the ability to teach a large breadth of courses are preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:            

Candidates will teach a 12-hour load per semester (possible core courses: Statistics, Research Methods, Biological Psychology, General Psychology, and other elective courses, such as Abnormal Psychology and Theories of Personality, depending on the candidatesÂ’ teaching background), supervise student research, participate in student academic advising, provide division, college, university, and community service; and utilize effective teaching methods, including the use of technology.
