I agree with Beth. Because I am jealous of my class time, I ask students who 
wish to review their exams to do so in my office.  When they come in, I'll take 
the student's Scantron answer sheet and re-score it with a red pen so the 
student & I can tell at a glance which questions he/she got wrong. In 30 years 
I have NEVER found the Scantron to make the kind of error you describe.  I've 
occasionally found errors on the answer key due to my own carelessness but none 
do to the Scantron.
