Coping with Crowding; May 2000; Scientific American Magazine; by de Waal, Aureli, Judge; 6 page(s)

A persistent and popular view holds that high population density inevitably leads to violence. This myth, which is based on rat research, applies neither to us nor to other primates

A student of mine is trying to pull together his final research paper on a possible connection between overpopulation and psychological disorders. He's looking at overpopulation as either a contributing or a causal factor. Are any of y'all acquainted with literature he could access via internet or our local college (trying to help him limit time spent on research)?

Thanks

Jodi
