In the early days of the Web, there was a hugh spirit of sharing (I have
always called it "The Spirit of the Web"). Like you, I would be pleased
that someone found my work useful enough to use it in either its
original form, or modified. I would not even insist that they ask first
because I might not get back to them in time. There are times my
personal email account might not even be opened for days, or weeks, at a
time. I only ask that credit be given, though letting me know would be
nice. It is probably as close to "publication" as I will ever get.

Sometimes you just have to try something, and see what happens.
