Joan, and maybe the situation you've described has a lot to do with the nature
of the
contents of today's report coming out from the Commission on the Future of
Higher
Education. It's tragic that in the last few decades we have learned so much
about
learning and so many of us have applied so little of what we've learned in the
interest of
promoting student learning.
