John- In the restaurant situation, if I have a Guinness (am I spelling that wrong?), I order two (insist they bring both!). The cold one gets warm slowly and by the time the meal is finished I get one at room temp. The problem with my solution, of course, is that I have to ask my wife to drive home so we have to alternate her-wine/my-beer to have a designated driver. :) When in Rome.
