Job Ad:
Appalachian State University invites qualified applicants for a 12-month
position as
University Statistician. The
primary responsibility for this position is to provide statistical
consulting for faculty, staff,
and students.
Additionally, this position is responsible for conducting workshops on
the use of statistical
software, writing
documentation on the use of statistical software, monitoring statistical
software contracts,
and maintaining
various production applications. Successful applicants will be expected
to have knowledge of
theoretical and
applied statistics and have experience with statistical software systems
supported by
Technology Support
Services (SAS, JMP, SPSS, Amos, Minitab, Systat, SigmaPlot, and Sample
Power).
Minimum Qualifications: Masters in Statistics or related field and 3
years experience in
statistical consulting.
Ph.D. preferred.
