The Department of Psychology
at Dickinson
College invites
applications for a
one-year appointment in COMMUNITY
psychology (with a preference for COMMUNITY/CLINICAL) at the rank of
Assistant
Professor beginning July 1,
2007.
Candidates
must have
a Ph.D. (or be ABD) in psychology and must provide evidence of
potential for
excellence in teaching. A strong commitment to teaching and research in
a
liberal arts environment and a plan to involve undergraduates in
research are
expected. Teaching load is five course sections (or equivalent) per
year. Our
largest sections have a capacity of 35 students.
Dickinson College
is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with
2300
students. It is located 20 min. west of Harrisburg,
PA, and a two-hour drive from Baltimore,
Washington, and Philadelphia. The Psychology
Department
curriculum aims to increase students' abilities to understand and
produce
psychological research and to recognize and critically evaluate claims
about
behavior (http://alpha.dickinson.edu/departments/psych/).
