Did I miss something? What is the context for your comment? Who is
the Dean Chris is responding to and what had he said?

Somehow a discussion we were a having on the Cheiron (history of
social science) list about Dean Keith Simonton's statistical work
on historical presidential IQs migrated, mid-debate, to the TIPS
list. I don't think it is worth reworking the whole thing here. It
does not have much to do with teaching psychology. I'm not sure
what happened, but I apologize for the interruption.
I fear I must be the culprit, and I should be the one to apologize to
everyone on TIPS, and especially to Chris.
(Just very briefly to explain, Chris had been critical of the
'presidential IQs' stuff, and his qualifications in statistics to
make such judgments were questioned. Chris replied to show that he
is more than qualified. I followed with my comment. As he said,
it is best just to forget the whole thing.)
