One of Marulli's sentences includes this >On March 13, 1964, a 28 year old New York City woman gained world-wide recognition for her role in an event which even today is remembered by people everywhere, creating a legacy still held up as an example of American values, or lack thereof.< What he means, of course, is that millions of people remember the prevalent (and subsequent) *accounts* of the event. I've tried to check out information about Dave Marulli, as he is cited on the webpage in question as if his is a definitive account. All I can find out is that he was (is?) an employee of the Eastman Kodak company. The writer of the webpage is Trent A. Fisher: http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~trent/ On Fisher's webpage occurs the proud boast: "As you have probably figured out by now, I take my non-conformity *very* seriously..." But of course self-conscious 'non-conformists' have a propensity to conform to whatever views are prevalent in the circles to which they feel some allegiance, or which reinforce their socio-political views.
