VIRGINIA WESLEYAN COLLEGE (VWC), a small (1200 students, 85 full-time
faculty), selective, and diverse liberal arts institution sited on 300
beautiful, wooded acres in the heart of the historical, economically
dynamic, and culturally rich Norfolk-Virginia Beach metropolitan area, seeks
applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor of
psychology, beginning fall, 2008. A Ph.D. in experimental psychology is
required at the time the position begins. Course assignments will include
some combination of biological psychology, sensation and perception,
cognition, research methods, and courses in the candidate's area of
specialization. VWC seeks committed teacher/scholars who will foster
undergraduate research, be professionally active, and advance the college's
