My uncle told a variant- maybe it is different in Tennessee. You can tell the 
weather from the cows. If they are dry it is sunny. If they are wet it is 
raining. If they fall over it is windy. :)

I learned as a kid (in the Midwest) that you can predict the weather from 
cows--if they are standing up it is going to be sunny, if they are lying down, 
it is going to rain. I guess if half of them are standing and half are lying 
down, then it's a 50% chance of rain.

My question is whether or not cows ever change roles. There are standing-up 
cows and there are sitting-down cows but I have never ever ever seen one change 
into the other.
