Albert- You said: "We are held to the same standards in our coursework as other doctoral students."
I don't mean this to express anything but a healthy skepticism, but how do you know that is the case. That is what puzzles some of us from more "traditional" programs. We see UoPs, and other on-line institutions, adds and hear the implicit, "You don't have to do as much work" in the sales pitch. Certainly there are some "mills" out there- but they aren't exclusively on-line. I should add that I have personal knowledge (what would be otherwise?) of a very competent online graduate but she herself questions the equality of standards. Certainly, imho, it is minimally presumptive to say all doctoral students are held to the same standards within traditional programs so I'm a bit confused what the standards are exactly? (I hope that doesn't sound dismissive, as that wasn't intended). Tim _______________________________ Timothy O.
