Thanks, Joan. And if anyone is interested, his inspiring lecture - with the
humor, facts and all that we like to convey in our own lectures - can be
viewed on youtube.com. Just look for his name or "last lecture." There are
dozens of versions there, so choose what works for your computer.

Joan, I too loved the irony of the "last lecture" concept, which was
supposed to be a philosophical idea presented by Carnegie Mellon. But Dr.
Pausch knew it would indeed be his last lecture.

If any of you haven't seen it, I promise you it's not squishy and won't turn
you off. The guy had a terrific attitude. My only regret is that he wasn't
a psychology professor. He would have done us proud!

P.S. A TIPSter asked me how I could put the entire state of New Hampshire
as my "address." New Hampshire's Granite State College has 11 different
campuses, but at present, I'm teaching all of my courses only online, so I
was hard pressed to choose only one of the 11 locations!

Thanks Beth--and appreciate the correction. Still feel quite amazed by
the spirit of that man. He's a model for us all. What's particularly
intriguing is that it really was his last lecture even though the point of
the series at Carnegie Mellon was "IF you had one last lecture to give,
what would it be?" Great concept and one we should consider if asked--"If
this was the last Introduction to Psychology class you would teach, what
would you include? Blessings to the entire Pausch's family.
