After learning about PETA and student and faculty membership in such
organizations on our campus, I was wondering if tipsters know of any animal
rights groups that may actually be sensible and less prone to promoting
terrorism? As you may recall, I mentioned that PETA is attacking our psych and
biology departments. Apparently, they may actually just be after publicity or
recruitment of new devotees. I naively assumed rational dialogue might be an
aim. Ha! But then I used to think rational argument was an element of real
debates. Ha! Hence, I am wondering if there are alternate groups that might
take more reasonable stands regarding animal and human welfare issues. The
only pets I am allowed are two beta fish so I am certainly out of the loop when
it comes to such issues. I am home today trying to avoid class work....I
think I have come up to the limit of my three posts for the day...so of course
I vote now that we be allowed five posts. I was always told to vote early and
often. Gary
