The College of Wooster has a two-year visiting position available, beginning Fall 2009, in the Psychology of Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation. Assistant or associate professor, with area of specialty open.
Responsibilities include oversight of student research in the area of leadership and entrepreneurship, advisor to the Psychology Club and development of activities for this group, as well as introduction of entry-level courses into the curriculum, focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership (e.g., Psychology of Creativity, The Entrepreneurial Personality, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Psychology of Leadership, Introduction to I/O Psychology). Candidates should also be capable of developing more advanced classes in at least one of the following areas: Consumer Behavior, Small Group Processes, Psychology of Risk and Risk Aversion, and/or Gender and Entrepreneurship. Courses that involve participation in the College���s Interdisciplinary Programs, including First-year Seminar, will be encouraged. Also expected to teach two sections of Introductory Psychology each year and one course in statistics. Background in Sensation and Perception will enhance application. Ph.D. or ABD in Psychology or Leadership; teaching experience expected. Applicant review begins 2/20/09 and will continue until the position is filled.
