Yes and no, according to the CNN article you cited at http://tinyurl.com/byrekb The original was a staged T-mobile commercial on January 15/09, which can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ3d3KigPQM But this led to a real flashmob event probably on February 6 which attracted a huge crowd to successfully imitate the commercial. The _Telegraph_ estimated the crowd at 13,000 while the original staged event had 400 dancers The police closed the station for 90 minutes (http://tinyurl.com/ckarxf ).
