Dear Tipsters, I am not a clinician, but I would have thought there is another reason to require scientific training in psychology in addition to being able to make informed choices about empirically-supported therapies: It might help the practitioner think like a scientist when engaging in diagnosis and treatment: Is my judgment correct? Could it be wrong? Is there an alternative explanation? Am I being biased? Etc.......
