I dislike APA too.

And frankly, it is much adoo about nothing; merely a money making scheme--a
never ending cycle of changes based on whim.

I also never used it (thank heavens) except in psychology courses. In
research I would use what the journal required, which you could pick up in 5
minutes by looking at a recent article.
