I hate that backgroup "dramatization" music also Beth. But relative to the "barking like a dog," I read a book about Mother Teresa and her care of so-called "trash-bin" babies. These were children who were literally abandoned in the trash bin and somehow made it by being adopted by packs of dogs. These children were described as acting just like dogs--barking, begging, etc. So I think there is some legitimacy to that story.
