As the only cross-cultural dude on Tips,in other cultures going after a married man can be advantageous to the woman-finances,looking after her basic needs,havivg children that will carry a recognized name and so on.Besides it is almost a rule that a married man should father other childre and be chased by single women.Growing up on the Caribbean island of St.Lucia,I could attest to the fact that chasing a married man and having the babies of married men has also be viewed as having class.And the men do not ignore their children born out of wedlock. The suggestion of pre-screened is poppycock. Btw,I would not import any type of evolutionary significance (a la Desmond Morris-the British zookeeper who turned ethologist) to behavior in the United States.I am reminded of AC/DC Money Talks.
