There was a horrendous case in Canada a few years ago (Carla Homolka and Paul Bernardo). She played the victim card and 'got off lightly' compared to Barnardo. Are people less willing to believe that a woman could be so vile? Why would this be the case? --Mike Because men are far more likely to commit violent crimes, and people are attending to base rates?
