Dear Tipsters,
It was my understanding that the words "Running head" are no longer needed. The
new sample manuscript has taken them away from all pages except the title page.
Because the running head is now part of the header rather than in the body of
the title page, and the same header appears on every page, I am advising
students to completely omit the words "Running head".
Stuart

Maybe they will change the sample paper again but the one online shows it with
the words "Running head" in the header preceding the running head (all caps) on
the title page. The words "Running head" don't appear on subsequent pages. I
think they are making up some of this as they go. I would feel bad making this
many corrections to my syllabus during the course of a semester.

That's odd - that's not what I was told. I was informed the words Running
head were not necessary.
