Hi
I'm wondering what good books people on TIPS and PESTS have found on
psychology of thinking for laypeople?
Take care
Jim
Jim: I am trying to figure out what you mean for "laypeople"?
Would an incoming freshman or an adult enrolling in college classes for the
first time be considered laypersons? or are you implying some kind of
hierarchical difference re knowledge bases (as say between the clergy and
the laity).
It would seem that any text that is used in a Psychology of cognition text
would do or better yet
Zimbardo's Thinking, and Judgment and Decision Making video segments could
suffice.
Are you still recommending books? Here in the U.S we usually tell them"Go
watch the video".
Btw,never underestimare the ability of those "laypersons" to read and
understand psychology texts,I have given lots of intro texts to regular
working class folks and they enjoyed them.
That is one reason I consider the Rodney Plotnick texts the best -it is
applicable to the current generation and our visual oriented folks.
