Goleman thinks that the delay of gratification (opting for 10 future
outcomes instead of 6 present outcomes) as indicative of emotional
intelligence.
However ,this may not be the case in the South African contexts.
You may want to look at cultural variables of present versus futuristic
orientations.
Btw,how is South Africa doing in Cricket?
