There was a 1998 article that appeared in the journal "Personality &
Individual Differences" authored by Schutte, et al. entitled "Development
and validation of a measure of emotional intelligence." The article
includes a 33-item EQ questionairre, as well as validation statistics from
a wide variety of special populations (males, females, prisoners, etc.). I
don't have the exact reference because the copy I have is a preprint from
the second author, John Malouff.
