TO MY COLLEAGUES:
From experience, I've changed over the past ten years. No
longer do I grade my student's work...or graduate student's master's thesis'
with red or black ink....I use the color "green."
Green ink, as I explain to my students...represents...life...and
growth....learning and change...I explain this..the first night of class.
I also explain...we are working together toward their personal growth...my edits
on their papers are for their success for the future....
All cultures ...holistically....consider the color green ..representative
of....life.
Red is Evil. Black is death. Green pens are easier on the Professor's eyes
as well.
Peace!
