Sample 'bots:
I should have said in my first post what Ken Steele
just asked me about -- there are some chatterbots,
but not quite what I want, at http://www.botspot.com/

Some of these (maybe all) run off a server rather than
in your browser. This makes me a little uneasy that
the 'conversations' can be recorded -- in fact, at least
one chat bot 'learns' from the conversations that it has,
so it is extracting information. I'm rewriting Eliza in
JavaScript, in part so I can promise that nobody is
listening. Ken told me a cautionary tale which I'll repeat ---
