I recently asked if anyone on this list knew of a video with motion-related visual perceptual effects for my undergraduate perception class. I mentioned that I had seen a good CD. Although I was unable to find a video, a few people asked me for the name of the CD. The name of the CD that shows motion-related visual perceptual effects is "Exploring Perception -- A CD ROM for Macintosh and Windows". It's by Colin Ryan, co-published by Brooks/Cole and ITP. It's quite good. It has a few apparent motion segments, which allow users to adjust ISI and distance. It also has some segments on motion aftereffects, contextual effects, and more. It also has modules on action potentials and other physiological phenomena, as well as some basic psychophysics exercises. The publisher seems to be willing to give review copies.
