Regarding a recent thread on how students fail to regard psychology as a
science, I
just came across an article by Friedrich (1990) who presents some data suggesting
that having students write a paper in support of a scientific view of psychology
results in an attitude change in that direction.

Reference: Friedrich J. (1990). Learning to view psychology as a science:
Self-persuation through writing. Teaching of Psychology, 17, 23-27.
