Sounds reasonable. Just for academic integrity purposes, you might want
to give him an alternate version of the test.

I don't think so. In both cases it seems the students have informed you as
soon as they became aware of the conflict/as soon as they had an
opportunity to inform you of the conflict.

I would be irked because it would be inconvenient for me to administer an
exam outside of the 8-5 day, but that's not necessarily the student's fault.
An inconvenience for you, but it's certainly refreshing to have a student miss
an exam because they are being productive rather than sitting on their butt.
This student may have little choice here...Certainly the student's employer
can let the student have a little time off to complete an exam.
