This reminded me of living in rural Western Mass some years ago.   The
"fresh air" kids from NYC arrived several saw cows for the very first time.
 However, what we all thought would be exciting turned into serious
dissappointment.  Having only never seen cows "in person" before, the
children had anticipated animals the size of elephants.  It took some doing
to convince them that these cows were normal.
