I like the answer that guns make it easier to kill people.
>From my early years of studying animal ethology,it appears that humans
are the only species that fight to kill except in those cases of predator-
prey relationship.Apparently,this is due to the invention of
weapons and the insignificance of surrender signals.
I long for the good old days of hand to hand comeback when the physically
stronger would prevail and impose shame on the enemy.
Even a Zorro type of combat would be more exciting,for one could surrender
without being slashed ZZZZZZZZZ.
