        You wouldn't if you grew up on the streets, Michael.

        Ever watched someone beaten to death--or seen a person having their eyes
gouged out or their noses ripped completely off their faces? Those kinds
of events were fairly common where I grew up.

        I remember watching the leader of a street gang in NYC crying and begging
for his mother while trying to hold his intestines in with his hands (he
wasn't very successful) after being slashed in a knife fight--and I've
watched a beheading in Saudi Arabia. Zorro makes nice movie concepts, but
that "zzzzzzz" isn't very pleasant to watch (or to feel for that matter)
in real life.

        Thanks, but if I'm going to be murdered by someone and they don't have
the courtesy to use a painless poison, I think I'd prefer a simple bullet
in the brain--it's neater, surer, and instant.
