Is there a text out there that organizes intro. psychology around topics or issues,
for an example? Any suggestions on recent, somewhat "unusual" introductory texts
would be appreciated.

Mark, I don't have a title for you, but I'll point you to someone
who may know. Greg Kimble, who wrote an influential intro
book back in the 70's (60's?), teaches his intro courses in the
way you describe, and has long argued for a "unification" of
psychology's sub-disciplines around topic areas.

I bet he'd love to talk with you about this, and he may know
of some texts like this out there. His Duke email address
is: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Best of luck,

Mike
