a colleague. Seemingly apropos to this discussion of late, I thought I would
share. . .

Perhaps also germane is another famous Steven Wright line . . . .
"He asked me if I knew what time it was. I said, "Yes, but not right now.""
I agree Gary, some qualitative research on this fascinating phenomenon is in
order;
would be a good topic for exploration of this hypothesis-honing technique
with students.
